Milton Jennings

Milton joined Stewart Group’s Advisory Board in November 2016.  Milton brings a breadth of financial and industry knowledge having spent 29 years with Fidelity Life, NZ's largest locally owned insurer and was the CEO at Fidelity Life for 14 years. He is now running his own consulting business STM Advice helping companies in the life insurance market with their business planning. 

Milton has had a long involvement in the finance industry having worked with Coopers and Lybrand, now PricewaterhouseCoopers, as a junior auditor after graduating university.  After five years there, and a number of years as the auditor for Lloyds in London, he joined Fidelity Life as company secretary in 1986.  His time at Fidelity has been spent as head of sales and then progressing on to the CEO of the company.

He is a Chartered Accountant and Authorised Financial Adviser. He was one of the longest-served CEOs in the New Zealand life insurance industry and served as a director on the FSC Board for 13 years. During his tenure as CEO Fidelity Life’s assets grew from $145m to over $1billion under management. He was also instrumental in the purchase of Lumley Life, Farmers Mutual Life and Tower Life.
